Velho Barreiro Cachaca Gold has intense citrus, pear and apple aromas with earthy notes from the time spent in Jequitiba Rosa wood barrels. Velho Barreiro only use fresh juice from the best sugar cane grown on their own farms to manufacture their cachaca. After the first distillation, the spirit is allowed to rest for some time before it is distilled for a second time. After the second distillation, the cachaca is stored in wooden barrels made from Brazilian "Jequitiba Rosa". This wood imparts a unique depth and flavour and harmony to Velho Barreiro. Three years in the barrel adds a touch of gold to this normally clear spirit.
