Stork Club Straight Rye Whiskey comes from Germany, produced just south of Berlin using German rye. It's aged in a combination of first-fill American oak, German Napoleon oak, ex-white wine casks and ex-sherry casks. Gold in colour. There's sweetnesss on the nose, with vanilla, candyfloss and orange marmalade. On the palate, you get dark chocolate and orange citrusy notes, with plenty of spice. There's also a good amount of vanilla, with touches of peach and other stone fruits. On the finish, there's good length to the spicy notes.
