Rich mahogany in colour, Soberano 12 Solera Reserva is the oldest and finest Brandy de Jerez in the Soberano range. Its extended ageing in sherry barrels brings it a lot of sherry character. Aromas of caramel, dried fruit and spices. A well rounded and elegant palate with a velvety finish. Produced by Gonzalez Byass, perhaps Spain's best-known sherry bodega. Soberano 12 brandy is distilled entirely from the Airen grape variety in La Mancha in central Spain before transportation to Jerez for ageing. Maturation takes place in American oak casks which have formerly held sherry using the traditional Solera system which blends older and younger spirits together several times throughout the ageing process. The 12 in the name indicates that this brandy underwent 12 stages of the Solera process, giving Soberano an average age of 12 years in the cask. A versatile drink that can be thoroughly enjoyed on its own, on ice, mixed with cola, lemonade, ginger ale or fresh orange juice. |
