Sir Robin of Locksley Distilled Artisan Gin was created to be one of only a few true English sipping gins. It is a style sitting neatly between a traditional London Dry and an Old Tom gin. As well as traditional gin botanicals of juniper, coriander, cassia, angelica, liquorice and pink grapefruit, locally picked Dandelion from Yorkshire and Elderflowers from Lincolnshire bring it its unique character. The aroma leads with citrus and floral notes. To taste, the elderflower and liquorice bring a sweet character, tempered by the spices. A truly versatile gin, with tonic the floral character is enhanced but it will also excel served neat or in a martini. The name references a much beloved local legend of Sheffield, where the gin is distilled, Robin Hood. |
