Samuel Gelston's Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is made from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, distilled together in a traditional copper pot still. It is not a blend and it's not a Single Malt. It's a completely unique expression that is full of body and character. This triple distilled Single Pot Still Whiskey is distilled with 50% Malted Barley and 50% Unmalted Barley. It's matured in ex-bourbon Casks. Gold in colour. It has green notes, hints of lemon drizzle cake and cooked citrus. To taste you find walnuts and candied pecan, cacao nibs and cereal. On the finish, there's chocolate orange and sweet breakfast porridge. A moreish Single Pot Still Whiskey. |
