The balance of bouquet, and unique flavours is derived from an exclusive blend of aged rums of between 6 and 25 years old, originating from the 'Sistema Solera' ageing process. The mature rums have been produced only from the sweetest first-crush virgin sugar cane honey. Ron Zacapa XO is matured at an altitude of 2300 metres in selected barrels that previously aged robust Bourbons, delicate Sherries and fine Pedro Ximenez wines. Ron Zacapa XO acquires its sophisticated and superior finish by resting the final blend in elegant French oak barrels. |
