Ramos Pinto

Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 by a young artist, Adriano Ramos Pinto at the age of just 21. It was created right from the outset guided by principles of quality and autonomy. Strictly producing wines using only grapes from their own estates in the Douro Valley in order to fully control the quality of the production throughout the whole process.

Ramos Pinto began selling to the Brazilian market early on and in the early 20th century had become responsible for fully half of all the wine exported to South America. The oldest Late Bottled Vintage Port in existence today belongs to Ramos Pinto and dates back to 1927.
