Whiskey Sour

Ingredients:
50ml Maker's Mark Bourbon Whisky
20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Egg White
15ml Giffard Gomme Syrup
Add all the ingredients into a shaker with ice. SHAKE vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Maraschino Cherry on a cocktail stick and a slice of orange in the glass.

The original sour was in fact a brandy sour, which was a favourite drink of the 1850's and it still remains popular. You can make a sour using any spirit base but one of the most requested is a whiskey sour. Fresh juice is essential to provide the sour flavour of the drink.
