Bitters

Bitters are generally used as flavourings for cocktails. An intensely bitter concoction derived from various botanicals, it is never intended to be served alone and it is inadvisable to do so, instead adding just a drop or two to a cocktail to impart its unique flavour. It is an important ingredient in many famous cocktails such as the Old Fashioned or the Manhattan.
