Lejay produce the original Creme de Cassis de Dijon that dates back to 1841. It is natural, fresh and intense, with tart blackcurrants on the nose and succulent cherry and plum hints. Rich, velvety texture on the palate with full bodied blackcurrants that continue to open with hints of cherry and plum, becoming more luscious with exotic zest, fruity jammy notes and a final wave of crème brulee. The rich-dry balance is led by blackcurrant notes and hints of cherry. Gentle and soft in the mouth, yet also complex, with clean berry nose and a distinctive creamy mouth. This is followed by a long finish of grapefruit, exotic zest and homemade confiture. |
