Laborie Blanc de Blancs is an elegant sparkling wine from South Africa, made with 100% Chardonnay grapes. It is produced using Method Cap Classique, the same as champagne. It has a straw gold colour. Bright notes of fruit on the nose, with hints of lime, green apple, toasted bread and hazelnut. Rounded and creamy on the palate with intense acidity and a long, smooth finish.
Laborie can trace its history back to 1691, when Farm Laborie in Paarl, South Africa was granted to Frenchman, Huguenot Isaac Taillefert. The family had knowledge of viticulture and it was put to good use, and within seven years the vineyards were producing wine. The foundations the Taillefert family laid over 300 years ago has resulted in outstanding wine production creating wines of distinction.
