Made from 100% agave joven (young) mezcal. La Penca Mezcal is named after the sword-like leaves which menacingly surround and protect the agave plant. La Penca is distilled using Salmaina agave from the highlands of San Luis-Zacatecas and is aged in ex-bourbon barrels. Each bottle of La Penca Mezcal is bottle with a Chincuil grub (maguey worm). |
