La Fee are the creators of the first traditional absinthe to be distilled in France since the time of the absinthe ban in 1915. A once popular drink in the 18th and 19th centuries, hysteria over concerns of addictive and hallucinogenic properties saw it widely outlawed across Europe. These concerns since disproven, the EU repealed these bans in the 1990's and the drink has seen something of a resurgence.
La Fee enlisted the help of Marie-Claude Delahaye, regarded as a world-expert absinthe historian, to recreate this classic drink as accurately as possible and bring it to modern audiences. |
