Knockando distillery dates back to 1898 and is named after the village of the same name, which derives from "Cnoc-an-dhu", Gaelic for "little black hill". It was the first distillery in Scotland to be built to use electric to power its production.
Knockando has a unique approach to distillation, producing new vintages every year for each of their expressions. Knockando refers to these vintages as "seasons" and marks the season on every bottle. |
