Jacobs Creek

Jacob's Creek is the best-known brand of the Orlando Wines winery. Founded in 1847, it was the first commercial winery in South Australia's Barossa Valley, releasing its first vintage in 1850.

The first wine bearing the name Jacob's Creek was the 1973 vintage Shiraz Cabernet Malbec, and since then Orlando Wines has taken it upon themselves to maintain and rejuvenate the Creek which lends its name to the much-beloved wine, the area having been crowded out by many outside species. Today, the creek is largely restored to its native state, and the wine is thriving equally well, Orlando Wines having been awarded first place in the world's top 100 wineries.
