Grants

Grant's holds the title of Scotland's oldest continuously family-run maker of blended Scotch whisky. William Grant entered the whisky production business in 1887 opening the Glenfiddich distillery, but twelve years later, when the largest Scotch whisky blender went bankrupt, Grant stepped in to begin making blended whisky of his own: Grant's whisky.

Over the years, Grant's has withstood events that have seen other whisky blenders close. Prohibition saw a huge downturn in the whisky industry, but Grant instead increased production and laid more casks down, a move that paid off richly when prohibition ended.

Today, Grant's is still a family-owned business and stays true to William Grant's original recipe.
