Glengoyne 10 Year Old is a clear and bright golden yellow colour. A sweet aroma of toffee and popcorn, a little nuttiness and crisp fresh green apple. To taste, it is fresh and lightly herbal, with apple and grass flavours. Soft oak notes and sweet liquorice are also discernible. A drop of water brings out hints of linseed oil and almond. A clean and pleasant sweet, malty finish. The 10 Year Old is blended from 15% first fill European Oak Sherry casks, 15% first fill American Oak Sherry casks and the remainder hand-selected quality Oak Refill casks. It is bottled, like all Glengoyne whiskies, without the addition of any colour. A light and refreshing expression, great for sharing with friends anytime. |
