George T. Stagg is a part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. This highly sought after and much prized range of expressions are released annually from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The 2022 release of George T. Stagg is a 15 years and 5 months old bourbon bottled straight out of the barrel without the addition of water and without filtering. The expression is named in honour of one of bourbon's most important pioneers.
This exceptional whiskey has a lush toffee sweetness and dark chocolate nose with with hints of vanilla, fudge, nougat and molasses. The palate displays notes of dates, tobacco, dark berries, spearmint and there's touch of coffee that provides balance on the palate. The finish is long with black coffee, dark cherries and herbs. This whiskey is released in extremely limited quantities each year and will only ever be tasted by a lucky few. |
