It was marked by alternating extremes. It has spent 10 years ageing in the Dom Pérignon cellars and is now ready to be enjoyed.
Nose: Notes of guava and spicy green grapefruit zest combine with hints of stone fruit including white peach and nectarine. As the wine opens up, it reveals further aromas of woody vanilla and warm, lightly toasted brioche.
Palate: The fruit has a majestic ripeness, both fleshy and profound. Beyond the richness and a certain voluptuousness is a strong impression of consistency that prevails. The wine's power is remarkably restrained. The various sensations on the palate including silk, salt, sap, together with bitter and briny flavours.
Finish: The long finish is complemented by notes of toast and tobacco.
