This understated Bordeaux from Margaux in Médoc has a dark ruby/purple colour and a sweet nose of cassis and spring flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of herbaceousness on the entry, but there is plenty of fruit behind it. Classic in style, the pepperiness of the Cabernet drives the structure and it's quite masculine (for Margaux) finish. Complex, satisfying and quite persistent. |
